Valves and piping for petrochemical and fertilizer plants
Ammonia, urea and acids attack the wrong alloy fast, and constant temperature cycling works against packing and gaskets. Material choice decides how long your valves last.

What makes this service hard
The conditions that decide which valve, material and seal will last.
Corrosive media
Plain carbon steel and brass fail early in many process streams. We match stainless and alloy grades to your media.
No brass in ammonia
Ammonia causes stress corrosion cracking in brass and copper alloys. We flag it on every quotation.
Thermal cycling
Constant heating and cooling loosens packing and gaskets. Metallic expansion joints and correct packing extend service life.

Which stainless grade suits our process?
CF8M (316) is the usual starting point for corrosive service because molybdenum improves chloride resistance. Severe service may need duplex or higher alloys. Send us the media, concentration and temperature.
Can you supply valves for ammonia service?
Yes, in steel and stainless grades suitable for ammonia. We do not recommend brass or copper alloys in ammonia service.
